Logo Design for a Surf and Beachwear Shop in Suffolk, UK

We were hired to work on the logo design for a Surf shop in Lowestoft that would also double as the brand for their new range of surf, beachwear and surf accessories.

Surf Shop Logo Design

This was a very fast process as the client had little time to get things up and running and they knew exactly what they wanted it was just a case of making sure it was nice and simple and easy to recognize.

The colours were the only thing that was undecided as the label material hadn’t been decided on so we worked almost up to the end in black and white as seen below.

The last changes we made were to choose some colours that would look nice on the approved fabric for the labels which was to be a dark blue, we decided to do the waves in an obvious light blue ‘wave’ colour and also try it in a more ‘in your face’ brighter colour which we decided was to be yellow.

You can see below the alternate yellow version that was never used.

Oh – I love the green/yellow one. Kind of reminds me of some of the older bodyglove designs.

Great work again, liking the hand drawn (if I remember rightly) typeface

I like your logo design, nice work. In this special case (wavesack surfwear) it remind me a little bit on Any Warhol (Marilyn Monroe).

That is a cool logo. Being in San Diego I bet that would sell very well down here.

Wow! That really is a killer design, we’re looking to have our logo redesigned and I think you may just be the guy! That really is amazing, I must show my business partner.

I like the logo. Clear and simple, but just a bit “edgy” to interest you in the shop. So much so that I went looking for the shop’s website, but didn’t find it. If they have a website, maybe you should post a link for them.

I like the third one with Surfwear in yellow, thats the best amongst all three..

Amazing job. I like logos which are so designed that they can used also without colours (for e.g. fax). The logo shows motion and that is what is needed by surfwear.

Hi could you let me know what font was used in this design or is this a custom typeface? Excellent logo, clean modern and simple. Great work!

    Thanks much

  12. Toon Says:

    It’s a custom typeface

Cool logo design concept. I especially liked the logo in blue and it is certainly iconic. I recently got my logo design made by the designing team at http://www.logodesignplanet.co.uk and for the the price I paid of only 89 pounds, it was definitely the best deal out there for a logo design. It came out excellent and I highly recommend that site. Anyway your site rocks, keep up posting those design concepts.
