Logo design for a Scandinavian decor website
We were hired as the logo designers for a new Scandinavian Interior Decor e-commerce website.

The new website was an online store for all home interior decor products and the logo had to represent the elegant, modern and minimalist style of the Scandinavian designs being sold.

I really like this brand design and think that it is a strong visual identity for an ecommerce application. I’m just wondering what kind of process was used to come up with this logo and also what the design imagery represents. They typography is classic and I really like how you have chosen to apply the logo on the back of the card to make a strong visual impact. I would really love to see how the brand is applied to the website but I think it is password protected because I just went over there and was not able to see anything except a log in form.
Really nice visual branding work!

I’ve always been fascinated by logo design and conception. When I think about Scandinavian furniture I always think about form and function. I think you did a great job here of capturing those qualities. Very well done by the artist.

I like your logo- it’s clean and reflects the concept of the Scandinavian approach to design perfectly. I wish I had this sort of talent to take the goal of embodying a company and bringing it’s identity to life like that. Very good job.

Clean, crisp as stated above. What process did you use to come up with this plan?

I like it. It has an excellent tone / contrast balance to it that many modern designs are lacking these days.
And the mirror effect for the primary element adds the perfect touch.
Awesome work!!!

Nice elegant design, I am always in awe of the way that designers like you keep coming up with fresh ideas without just wringing out the same old tired standards.

That’s a nice logo. I think it does what you were looking for, as far as having an interesting design that is still minimalist and clean. The “d” resembles a chair, or someones earlobe. Clever!

nice logo.
I ‘try’ to do graphic design myself – purely as a side issue to my main hobby of interior design. I am great at arranging stuff that other people have produced, but rubbish at coming up with own ideas. Wish I knew the secret

I think that this article is very useful.
I think that one of the best places to look for design inspiration is from nature and photographs. What are some of your favorite vacation sites? What colors are there that remind you of that place. A beach color scheme would include sandy browns, blues, greens and whites. A forest inspired scheme would include dark, bark browns, mossy greens, and rich earthy colors.

Well performed, I associate Scandinavia with the color blue and actually white. every Sweden, Finland and Norway actually has the color blue on their flags, but my association comes form the colder climate up there. I believe Scandinavians are, well not that minimalistic rather functionalists.

As for me the ending on “ia” makes the name female and it associates with a beautiful girl or woman.

Must say a neat work! The site for the interior decoration ideas and products should be designed in such a manner that it should reflect on the designer ideas of the company and the complete profile of the company.
