A logo design for a video game portal
We were hired to be the logo designers for a computer game portal named Modo Experto (Expert Mode).
Here is some of the brief for the logo:
The logo we want will be used as the image for a videogame web portal called “Modo Experto” (Expert Mode). This logo should be composed by an image and the text “ModoExperto” (with no blank spaces).
The target of this web will be young people, mostly gamers. For that reason, the logo should also be colourful and fresh. Taking in account that it will be used as a watermark in some videos and photos, the “image” part of the logo will have to be independent from the text (ModoExperto) and it should be easily outlined to make a transparency of it. The image part of the logo should also be clear enough for the users to immediately recognize the web just seeing it. Finally, this “image” part of the logo should contain some part where we could apply different colors. This is for us to change the “logo” color to distinguish the different sections of the web portal.
As you can see we presented the logo to the client in all the ways it would be used, as a watermark, with the text and image separate and in different colours we also made sure the logo design worked on a dark background.

We have actually used all the colors you gave us plus some aditional ones, and in all of them the logo looks perfect for this kind of web.
